He was born prematurely in just 24 weeks and spent his first few months in intensive care units for his newborn. At age 6, he stood in another need: the loss of his father. He grew up in a family with only one parent and witnessed his mother tirelessly worrying about his family, often accepting several jobs. Despite these challenges, a strong sense of resilience and endurance developed. He took responsibility early on and helped his family navigate financial battles while committing to his training. This formative experience gave him the confidence that success requires determination and motivation to nurture others. Her passion for engineering led her to an industrial introduction at BMW Mini Oxford in 2009, working as a reliability engineer. James’ breakthrough came in 2010 when he came to McLaren Automotive through a professional experience program. His commitment and technical skills quickly led him to a permanent role, laying the foundation for a career of excellence. With the McLaren Automotive and McLaren GT, he played a crucial role in developing the brand’s most well-known models, including the McLaren 12C, 650S, and P1. His work as a customer engineer and lead development engineer for the GT3, 12C GT Sprint Car & GT4 (now GT4 Arturo) racing car demonstrated his technical expertise and quality of management. In 2017, he switched to Formula 1 and joined the Haas F1 team as a Lane Electronics Engineer. A year later, he returned to McLaren Race as a System-Support Engineer, where he worked on developing trackside systems and contributed to a test program for the rise in stars such as Radnor’s. His trip was in 2020 as an engineer in Electronics Support for the Heritage division, Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula 1 Team. He headed over in car and car electronic systems for legendary drivers such as Lewis Hamilton, George Russell, and Nice Romberg, continuing his reputation as a motorsport technology expert.

Under DORNOR’s guidance, DBU reached a historical milestone and became the first ethnic-guided organization recognized by Motorsport UK as a club to acquire this position between April 2023 and November 2024.
